Laura Dawson

Laura officially joined the Legacy crew in March of 2022. At Legacy she has a supportive roll including the front office tasks, event planning and the interior design of many of the spaces in our building.

Laura graduated from Liberty University with a Bachelor of Science degree with a focus in interior design, culinary arts and early childhood development. She has spent years as a stay-at-home mom and substituting in the Appomattox school district. She has also been involved in the planning of community events and tourism committee in Appomattox.

Laura was born in Lynchburg with a large extended family. Seven years ago, she along with her husband decided to establish permanent roots for their family in the town of Appomattox where her husband grew up. Laura is married to the “one and only” Jake Dawson. She is a proud mom of three teenagers: Emma, Julian and Christian. Emma is attending CVCC while Julian and Christian are attending Appomattox County High School. They are actively involved in our community, church, and school.

In her free time, Laura enjoys a variety of activities to share or involve her family including boating, painting, antiquing, sewing, and planning community events. She also loves the outdoors, exploring trails and going on new travel adventures.

Laura is honored to be a part of the Legacy family as she enjoys greeting clients day in and day out and building quality relationships with them.
